Sunday Evenings for all Ages- Behold the Beauty of the Lord: Reflections on Art and Soul
These
evening presentations will explore the place of beauty in Christian life and
worship, suggesting that our own experience of the beautiful in art or nature
can lead us to a deeper awareness of the presence of God in our lives. Using examples as various as personal
memories, children’s book illustrations, stained glass windows, Impressionist
paintings, and Orthodox icons, we will ponder the ways in which the beauty of
the Lord pervades the world—and how that awareness can transform our perception
and our faith.

June 29 - From a nightlight on a train to the windows of Ste. Chapelle: on light, vision and perception.
