Tentative dates...September 8-21, 2009. We will visit Celtic sites throughout the country including time with liturgist and priest, Jim Cotter in the Llyn Peninsula area and Coventry Cathedral in England with Dean Todd Donatelli, from the Cathedral of All Souls.

We will fly from Asheville to Birmingham, England and spend two days in Coventry and at Coventry Cathedral destroyed in World War II, from which has come the Community of the Cross of Nails and a strong emphasis on reconciliation.  Then we will make our way by coach to The Lion Hotel in Criceith on Cardigan Bay near Snowdonia National Park..  From this northwestern vantage point, we will  spend four days exploring the northwest area of Wales. We will spend a Jim Cotterday with Jim Cotter exploring the Llyn Peninsula.  Jim is a wordsmith and poet, who has a passion for writing and speaking and is the Vicar of the pilgrim church in Aberdaron.  He has authored a number of books, most recentlyOut of the Silence … Into the Silence: Prayer’s Daily Round.  We will also visit Anglesey and venture into a slate mine in Blaenau Festiniog.

In the southwestern part of the country we will be lodged at Castell Malgywn.  We will visit St. David's. St. Non's , Pre-historic sites in Nevern,  Pentre Ifan, the Tenby area, and Carew site of a Celtic Cross. From there we will go to Worcester, England by way of Tintern Abbey.
