Discernment for Ministry
This work of the Centers will continue to provide opportunities for all the people in the Diocese to discern how God is calling them, whether as a layperson, priest or deacon. Discernment is not something that is meant to be done in isolation but within the community of faith.
This program will develop ways for all folks to be in a form of community discernment. Through this discernment process, those who discern ministry as laypeople would be encouraged to take part in the Centers' offerings that are appropriate for them.
Those who discern a call to the diaconate or the priesthood would be sent to their lay parish discernment committee and the Commission on Ministry to continue the diocesan process.
WORKSHOPS ON DISCERNMENT
Workshops are being planned for 2008 throughout the Diocese.
