WHO WE ARE

The Centers for Christian Studies, based at the Cathedral of All Souls, Asheville, NC, is the response to Bishop Porter Taylor’s call for opportunities for the laity and clergy of the diocese to discover who they are as Episcopalians and Anglicans, to discern their gifts to respond to Christ’s calling to live out their Baptismal Covenant, and to deepen in their faith and spirituality. The (s) in Center indicates that this is a diocesan-wide project and the offerings will go to the people of the diocese rather than requiring people to always come to Asheville.

Mission: To inspire and assist Episcopalians in deepening their spiritual lives.

Our address is: 9 Swan St. , Asheville, NC 28803   828.274.2681  charlotte@allsoulscathedral.org

WHAT'S NEW
DAILY PRACTICES for God’s People is far more than a book; it is an interactive tool for living our Christian virtues, day by day. For use by groups and individuals, each chapter guides readers to a fuller understanding and practice of one of the virtues. Each may be studied on its own, or in any order with others.
The Centers for Christian Studies is sponsoring a new program in the diocese for people who are experiencing a call to the ministry of spiritual companioning/direction.
September 8-21, 2009. We will visit Celtic sites throughout the country including time with liturgist and priest, Jim Cotter in the Llyn Peninsula area and Coventry Cathedral in England with Dean Todd Donatelli, from the Cathedral of All Souls.
